Prayers for the Aragon family in New Mexico

Asking for prayers for my buddy Pete’s family down in New Mexico. His mother, Pauline, went in for knee surgery about a month and a half ago and has yet to leave the hospital. It has been rough going for the family.

She now has an infection, on which they operated and attached a vacuum tube to her back to facilitate clearing the infection out. This after 2 previous operations that had at one point left her without feeling or control of her legs. Though that seemed to be on the mend—then the infection occured.

This would be tolerable for the family except this has occured after their father, Rafael, spent 3 weeks in the hospital for diabetes because he had a total respiratory arrest, in other words he stopped breathing. He was in the hospital because his lungs were failing and at the hospital when he went in total arrest. For 2 weeks he was on assisted breathing when he finally recovered.

The week after his sister went in for a out-patient procedure (still don’t have all the info on that) when she went into a coma, was placed in the hospital and consequently died. The family, needless to say, is reeling with all that is going on. They are friends of mine, Pete, Carmella (his wife) and I, are very close. With my son’s adventure with skirting death, the news of this going on (I have been in the loop since the beginning) has definitely had an impact in my life.

I’m sure a lot of what I deal with is stressed-related! (smile)

But God still sits on the throne and is in charge. I ask humbly and sincerely that you pray for my friend and his family in New Mexico. I’m planning a trip there as soon as I can.

Blessings all.
