In a previouse post I touched on the meaning of Kingdom Living or Kingdom Theology. I likened it to the parable of the Prodigal Son, and all that particular parable meant. I will be writing a series on Kingdom Living (I will just settle on that description - smile) and thought I would briefly go over what I will cover. First though, I would like to admonish everyone to get out their own Bibles and see for themselves what God is saying. Never take another man’s word about the things of God.
And please don’t take mine.
Men and women are only filters to what God has said. We can only give our understanding concerning the things of God. And our understanding is human, because we are human. We, in and of ourselves, must find the truth ourselves, establish our own real and tangible relationship with God, and walk our walk of faith for ourselves—no man can do that for us. And we should never want that they do so.
So now that said, what am I going to write about? I put together a brief listing of topics with the caveat that it may indeed change, as God may move in my heart to change the approach or even topic itself.
They are as follows:
1. This World is Simply a School
2. Moving Beyond the Crib and Milk
3. Roads, a Road and THE Road
4. Our Identity Crisis
5. Accommodation for Sin
6. Complacency With and For Sin
7. Who Is My Brother?
8. The Character of God
9. The Meaning of Discipleship
10. Perfection is a Biblical Principle
11. Religion of Death or Relationship of Life
12. Renewal, Restoration, and Translation
Each is intended to build upon the other and give a foundation to the new (or old depending on your personal studies) principle(s). This is not an all-inclusive list, as the are many side roads on can take on any, if not all, of these subjects. It is however going to eventually be an eBook and available for download from this site. If you have any questions or suggestions, please feel free to contact me with them.
Our walk of faith is one taken back to God. We are truly errant children, looking for a way home. Some will live and die in rebellion to God, and we shall mourn their passing. But life in, and through, Christ is the way of discipleship that regains the inheritence we lost. Or as Romans 8:17 says “And if children, then heirs; heirs of God, and joint-heirs with Christ; if so be that we suffer with him, that we may be also glorified together.”
Until then be blessed, be loved and be at peace,
Jonathan
