Our Walk Of Faith: Discipleship—the missing ingredient

And Jesus came and spoke to them, saying, “All authority has been given to Me in heaven and on earth. Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Amen. Matthew 28:18-20 (NKJV)

“Jesus approached and, [a]breaking the silence, said to them, All authority (all power of rule) in heaven and on earth has been given to Me….

The Fidelity of Faith

“My brethren, count it all joy when ye fall into divers temptations; Knowing this, that the trying of your faith worketh patience. But let patience have her perfect work, that ye may be perfect and entire, wanting nothing.” James 1:2-4 (KJV)

“Consider it wholly joyful, my brethren, whenever you are enveloped in or encounter trials of any sort or fall into various temptations. Be assured and understand that the trial and proving of your faith bring out endurance and steadfastness and patience. But let endurance and steadfastness and patience have full play and do a thorough work, so that you

Denominationalism - a culture of man posing as God

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me… (Luke 9:23 KJV)

Ok I’m on FaceBook within a community of Christian believers. Or so I thought. I keep running into some concepts that really boggle the mind and test the patience. Recently I found myself in two conversations in two days touching on the same issue from differing perspectives.

One person got upset because I said it didn’t matter which pew you sat in but your relationship to God. Of course if you…

The Law of Judgement

“Judge not, that you be not judged.” Matthew 7:1 (NKJV)

“DO NOT judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves.” Matthew 7:1 (Amplified)

Judgement deals directly with our acts, or the things we do that others see. It does not take in consideration the heart or our intentions. It is mortal (flesh and/or carnal) and does not have that capability. It is good to note that God searches the heart, thus what was meant, and what our intentions were—and bypasses the rigid confines of mortal judgement altogether, that He may…

Tears of the heartbreak, finding peace in the pain

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. ~ Psalms 34:18 (KJV)

The Lord is close to those who are of a broken heart and saves such as are crushed with sorrow for sin and are humbly and thoroughly penitent. ~ Psalms 34:18 (Amplified)

This is the last post of the year. There have not been any posts since August and I knew I needed to find closure for the year and for myself. It has been a hard, agonizing and tearful few months, the lesson have…

Kingdom living is in the here and now!

Oft times we forget that we are children of God. The usual mindset is that we are Christians and walk in our faith. This is true, but we have a more real and personal relationship with God that we can aspire to—His children. The story of the Prodigal Son is not only a parable of Christian restoration, but alludes directly to our relationship with God. We are to act like Christ, speak like Christ and even DO as Christ, because He being the “only begotten” son is in fact our elder brother.

That is why Romans 8 goes to such…

Who, what and how God is, in relationship to His children

The truths of God are very simple. It is man himself that complicates the things of God. And of course, loses his way in the doing so. But some concepts are foundational to our beliefs, and our faith, and need to be always clear in our minds, that we not falter along the pathway home. Who, what and how God is, in relationship to His children and all creation, is one of those things.

Let us take an example. Joy is a woman who lives in a town called Joy, and is always in a emotional, spiritual and mental place…

How do you say thanks to Him who was brutally killed for you?

You lose your life for Him! Scripture tell us: “And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me…” LUKE 9:23 or in the Amplified Bible: “And He said to all, If any person wills to come after Me, let him deny himself [disown himself, forget, lose sight of himself and his own interests, refuse and give up himself] and take up his cross daily and follow Me [cleave steadfastly to Me, conform wholly to My example in living and, if need be, in…

Revival, what does it mean—really?

Revival has always commonly been held as a movement of God, it isn’t, it is a movement of man that releases the heavenly kingdom within him, where God inhabits. God has always been manifest in this world, yet He said in the LAST DAYS His Spirit would be poured out upon the world. The Last Days is anytime from the advent of the cross and Christ’s ressurection and ascension to heaven. So that would be all the days of recorded history from that moment forward.

But we need at times to renew, regroup and revive that spirit of God within…

Organization and Leadership within the body of Christ

There has been some discussion lately about the structure of the church. Some have pointed out, and rightly, that today’s post-modern churches do not reflect biblical, or first century, structures for the church. As always it is in the Bible that we can learn and understand how the church was meant to be, and once was. Indeed what we have today is not the church as God intended.
but much in Christiandom is like that.

Church leadership

Reference verse (Localized congregation)
I Corinthians 12:27-28 (New Living Translation)

All of you together are Christ’s body, and each of you…

"If anyone would come after me, let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me. For whoever would save his life will lose it, but whoever loses his life for my sake will find it.
