Sometimes urban legends, unsolicited emails, and friendly “pass it ons” really get you thinking. God bless our men and women in uniform! God bless America!

When in England , at a fairly large conference, Dr. Condi Rice was asked by the Archbishop of Canterbury if our plans for Iraq were just an example of empire building by George Bush.

She answered by saying, “Over the years, the United States has sent many of its fine young men and women into great peril to fight for freedom beyond our borders. The only amount of land we have ever asked for in return is enough to bury those that did not return.”

You could have heard a pin drop.

There was a conference in France where a number of international engineers were taking part, including French and American.

During a break, one of the French engineers came back into the room saying “Have you heard the latest dumb stunt Bush has done? He has sent an aircraft carrier to Indonesia to help the tsunami victims. What does he intended to do, bomb them?”

A Boeing engineer stood up and replied quietly: “Our carriers have three hospitals on board that can treat several hundred people; they are nuclear powered and can supply emergency electrical power to shore facilities; they have three cafeterias with the capacity to feed 3,000 people three meals a day, they can produce several thousand gallons of fresh water from sea water each day, and they carry half a dozen helicopters for use in transporting victims and injured to and from their flight deck. We have eleven such
ships; how many does France have?”

You could have heard a pin drop.

A U.S. Navy Admiral was attending a naval conference that included Admirals from the U.S. , English, Canadian, Australian and French Navies.

At a cocktail reception, he found himself standing with a large group of Officers that included personnel from most of those countries. Everyone was chatting away in English as they sipped their drinks but a French admiral suddenly complained that, whereas Europeans learn many languages, Americans learn only English. He then asked, “Why is it that we always have to speak English in these conferences rather than speaking French?”

Without hesitating, the American Admiral replied, “Maybe it’s because the Brits, Canadians, Aussies and Americans arranged it so you wouldn’t have to speak German.”

You could have heard a pin drop.

AND THIS STORY FITS RIGHT IN WITH THE ABOVE… Robert Whiting, an elderly gentleman of 83, arrived in Paris by plane. At French Customs, he took a few minutes to locate his passport in his carry on.

“You have been to France before, monsieur?” the customs officer asked sarcastically.

Mr. Whiting admitted that he had been to France previously.

“Then you should know enough to have your passport ready.”

The American said, ”The last time I was here, I didn’t have to show it.”

“Impossible. Americans always have to show their passports on arrival in France !”

The American senior gave the Frenchman a long hard look. Then he quietly explained, “Well, when I came ashore at Omaha Beach on D-Day in 1944 to help liberate this country, I couldn’t find a single Frenchmen to show a passport to.”

You could have heard a pin drop.

Be blessed, be loved and be at peace. May the light of God’s glory fire the brilliance of your soul.

~ Jonathan

And he said to them all, If any man will come after me, let him deny himself, and take up his cross daily, and follow me… (Luke 9:23 KJV)

Ok I’m on FaceBook within a community of Christian believers. Or so I thought. I keep running into some concepts that really boggle the mind and test the patience. Recently I found myself in two conversations in two days touching on the same issue from differing perspectives.

One person got upset because I said it didn’t matter which pew you sat in but your relationship to God. Of course if you read the above scripture I don’t see a call to follow a church. The other person said if the Bible contained all of God’s truth then there wouldn’t be 50,000 different denominations. Both positions miss the point completely.

God is not dependent on what man does with His truth—it’s still the truth!

The pew of God

Sometimes we forget that it is all about relationship and NOT religion. We forget that at church we are listening to the interpretation of what a man (or woman) understands of God’s Word. But it falls to US personally to get the understanding of what God really said. A Pastor or church simply are geared to teach the things in the Bible as written. No need to interpret, just clarify or even point out the right direction to find understanding.

They do not stand AS God!

Some churches get it right, some are very wrong in their approach, and BOTH can be of the same denomination, sect or creed. It always is about church leadership and it’s adherence, understanding and ability to convey the truths of God. But they DO belong to God. Denomination simply means “of common meaning” or “common foundation”. That common meaning (or foundation) should be the Word of God and what HE means.

Period.

A Complete Truth

The complete truths of God are contained within His Word. He gives their meaning and application within the giving of the truth itself. Because man chooses differing methods of understanding that truth (and many contrary to what God was saying) has little to do with what is contained in the pages of the Bible. Man is not the arbiter or barometer of truth—God is. And He shall remain the measuring stick of that truth.

Man needs to humble himself. He is NOT God and can’t even get the mundane things of life consistently right. But God is ALWAYS perfect. How many times does man fail at something, having to go back and correct his own mistakes? No not a trick question here, but hopefully it gets you thinking a little bit. Estolling your church and/or preacher, and following them, is trusting in the arm of flesh.

That arm will fail.

So what is the true church?

It is called the body of Christ, and does NOT (and I will repeat it does NOT) matter where you sit on Sabbath. The body of Christ is within the differing denominations. Not because they are all right in their approach or have all of the truth, but because God’s Kids are there within it. It only matters your relationship with God. And THAT will eventually dictate where you will sit because your spirit will be nudged by God what is of Him and what is false.

Again that puts HIM in charge—not you!

BTW, for all the naysayers, a denomination is not a church. Churches are within denominations, but denomination means a dogma or manmade doctrine that a body of believers (hopefully) believe in and adhere to in the method of worship.

Food for thought.

Be blessed, be loved and be at peace. May the light of God’s glory fire the brilliance of your soul.

Jonathan

The Maker of all human beings (GOD) is recalling all units manufactured, regardless of make or year, due to a serious defect in the primary and central component of the heart.

This is due to a malfunction in the original prototype units code named Adam and Eve, resulting in the reproduction of the same defect in all subsequent units. This defect has been technically termed “Sub-sequential Internal Non-Morality,” or more commonly known as S.I.N., as it is primarily expressed.

Some of the symptoms include:

1. Loss of direction
2. Foul vocal emissions
3. Amnesia of origin
4. Lack of peace and joy
5. Selfish or violent behavior
6. Fearfulness
7. Idolatry
8. Rebellion

The Manufacturer, who is neither liable nor at fault for this defect, is providing factory-authorized repair and service free of charge to correct this defect..

The Repair Technician, JESUS, has most generously offered to bear the entire burden of the staggering cost of these repairs. There is no additional fee required.

The number to call for repair in all areas is: P-R-A-Y-E-R.

Once connected, please upload your burden of SIN through the REPENTANCE procedure. Next, download ATONEMENT from the Repair Technician, Jesus, into the heart component.

No matter how big or small the SIN defect is, Jesus will replace it with:

1. Love
2. Joy
3. Peace
4. Patience
5. Kindness
6. Goodness
7. Faithfulness
8. Gentleness
9. Self control

Please see the operating manual, the B.I.B..L.E. ( Believers’ Instructions Before Leaving Earth) for further details on the use of these fixes…

WARNING: Continuing to operate the human being unit without correction voids any manufacturer warranties, exposing the unit to dangers and problems too numerous to list and will result in the human unit being permanently impounded. For free emergency service, call on Jesus.

DANGER: The human being units not responding to this recall action will have to be scrapped in the furnace. The SIN defect will not be permitted to enter Heaven so as to prevent contamination of that facility.

Thank you for your attention!

GOD

P.S.. Please assist where possible by notifying others of this important recall notice, and you may contact the Father any time by “Knee mail”.

We ARE in the Last Days. That may mean a lot of differing things to different people, but be sure we are walking those environs of End Time events. This is just another aspect of those times. Remember the Bible tells us mankind (some) would call evil good and good evil. We are there.

“Judge not, that you be not judged.” Matthew 7:1 (NKJV)

“DO NOT judge and criticize and condemn others, so that you may not be judged and criticized and condemned yourselves.” Matthew 7:1 (Amplified)

Judgement deals directly with our acts, or the things we do that others see. It does not take in consideration the heart or our intentions. It is mortal (flesh and/or carnal) and does not have that capability. It is good to note that God searches the heart, thus what was meant, and what our intentions were—and bypasses the rigid confines of mortal judgement altogether, that He may show Grace.

It would be good that we do so as well.

As the above scriptures tell us, we bring into our world’s the exact same things we put out there for others, when we operate in judgement (condemnation, et al). In other words, the very things we condemn, criticize and/or rail against (snide comments, anger, etc.) becomes the measurement in our own lives, for our own actions. Human judgement tends to be negative, absolute and very wrong. Do you want that in YOUR life?

Let’s be honest, we can only see the outside of things at best, and that not very clearly and usually always devoid of understanding fully all that is involved.

When we use discernment (a God given gift, and part of a life in Him namely discipleship) we bypass this mortal action of the carnal man (he enemy of God—Romans 8 ) and partake of the divine nature instead. As we should always strive to do in our walk of faith in Christ. Discernment allows God to give guidance, or in some cases He may even be silent and allow the situation or circumstance to unfold, to show us what WE need to do, respond with, or the actions we must take in our own lives.

Judgment is us reacting and acting upon others, through the agency of our own understanding. Discernment is reacting or the actions in our lives tht we allow to be dictated by God. And IF you are His Kid, which one do you want operating in your life? Exactly.

There are many things in our lives that we deal with in their negative aspects, because WE have responded negatively. We have opened a door of judgment that Satan uses to afflict us. our lives and circumstances. I can give you a personal example that had operated in my life until today. Hence, of course, this whole introspection and post entry (smile).

I was given a ticket years ago that I did not deserve. It was rush hour (an oxymoron as we literally crawled along at about 10 mph, or less, from signal to signal on the way home) and I had a policeman pull me over for speeding! His declaration was that I was doing 57 mph in a 35 mph hour zone. Right. It was physically impossible—and being the meek and timid person I am, I told him so. (Yes, back then I was very lippy and obviously rather dumb). He showed me his radar gun showing the supposed speed, and being a geek I explained exactly the procedure for rigging radar. (Told you I was lippy!)

I got the ticket anyway (stop chuckling).

But I refused to pay it. I still haven’t paid it, and it’s been at least 7 or so years now. Since that time I lost my license due to illness (CHF and a broken back), my car is gone (which I gave up to pay rent on a house for my ex-wife and kids) and now rely on others to get around. I also have had problems financially as well, in almost every area of my life. So how does this all apply to my human response to a traffic ticket?

Glad you asked.

My judgment of wrong—and consequent action of inaction—was a judgment that opened the door to all the negatives listed above. First, I should have paid my ticket and let God be my advocate (known or unknown to me personally, but still trusting that He REALLY is still in charge) as I would have fulfilled my duty to pay the fine. See, that is as far as it should have gone. But I reacted incorrectly. God has set into motion things, or laws, that govern our actions, our lives, and the circumstances in which we live.

I took it upon myself to bypass that, and that took God right out of the equation, He didn’t do that, I did through MY judgement against the inequity and/or unfairness of the situation. But more than that I started a mindset in my life that progressed down the halls of judgement that brought me to the state, predictably, in which I now live. I did that, no one else. Can I point to the things that did it? Yes, but it doesn’t change WHO is responsible for all of it. And I know WHO that is.

Me.

So we should not judge because it separates us from God’s Grace and His forgiveness, and places us directly into the carnal mindset and actions, to be reciprocated into our own lives, as a reflection of our own judgements. I gave nothing to the Lord. I took it all upon myself. Me, forgiving me, means very little in the scheme of things. I don’t affect the actions of the universe or it’s laws, God does. See why He should be in charge and not me? I do. I NEED His forgivesness through His Grace.

So what do we take away from all this? That we have the power of the decision making processes of our own lives, it belongs to us. It’s called Free Will. We can decide whether to walk in judgement, or discernment. We can decide to follow the path of God, or our own way. There are benefits to following God (obviously or wouldn’t be on a walk of faith at all) and consequences in following our own way.

It’s our decision. Always is.

Be blessed, be loved and be at peace. May the light of God’s presence fire the brilliance of your soul.

Jonathan

Maria Melinn is a Victim Rights & Domestic Violence Advocate.
Meaning in Tragedy - What is happening to the world?

Is there meaning in tragedy? You aren’t alone when you ask the question, “What is happening to the world in which we live?” The questioning begins when you read the morning paper’s account of an earthquake halfway around the world that has taken several hundred lives. This is sad, but somehow you comfort yourself with the knowledge that this terrible tragedy can not come near you; can not touch you.

Then one morning, your local news anchor interrupts regular programming to give an eyewitness account of a local campus shooting in which many young lives have been taken, needlessly. Putting your child on the school bus becomes a frightening prospect and you wonder if your local high school is still a safe place for your son or daughter.

Many lives are ripped apart with abuse from the ones they expect to love and take care of them. Leaving behind a sense of mistrust, confusion and complete heartbreak.

Or, perhaps a loved one is killed on the way home from work by a drunk driver. Now tragedy has found its way into your personal life and you find that your world is spinning out of control, leaving you helpless and frightened.

Meaning in Tragedy - If there is a God, why doesn’t God do something?

When searching for meaning in tragedy, you may ask God why. Perhaps you have some rudimentary teaching about a God who created you; a God who loves you and is supposed to care for you. If such a God exists, then why doesn’t He do something to stop the senseless tragedies from happening to those you love — from rocking your world?

There is a God and He really does care for you. He also cares about the suffering that happens throughout the whole world. The problem is that man made a choice, a long time ago, to rebel against the One who created him and, using his freedom to choose, took control of his own life. That choice resulted in the corruption of God’s perfect creation, and the entrance of disobedience and sin into the world. With sin, came sickness, disease, and senseless tragedy.

You can read about the creation and fall of man in the early chapters of the book of Genesis, the very first book of God’s written word to man. History and God’s Word, both record that God did do something to offer an alternative to mankind. In the first four books of the Bible, Matthew, Mark, Luke, and John, you can read about God’s plan. His plan involves redemption, saving those who make the right choice to return to Him and honor Him as God. In the meantime, God promises His grace, His comfort, and a future hope for all who will believe.

Meaning in Tragedy - Where can I turn for some sense of security?

There will continue to be violence in a world where God’s creation has chosen to rebel against His plan and authority. Tragedy may even knock at your door one day. Where can you turn for some sense of security in the midst of what seems to be so much senseless tragedy?

The answer is really pretty simple. Turn to the One who created you, turn to God who loves you and does have a plan for your life; a plan that stretches far beyond this world and into eternity. Trust in God’s plan for the grace, comfort, and hope that He can give. God never promises that those who love Him will never suffer, but He does promise that He will be there and that He will turn what looks like the ashes of life into something beautiful; something that will last for all eternity (Isaiah 61:3, Ecclesiastes 3:11, Romans 8:28).

“Cast all your anxiety on him because he cares for you” (1 Peter 5:7)

Find Hope!

Burt Prelutsky has been a humor columnist for the L.A.
Rahm Emanuel and David Axelrod have the same contempt for the electorate that con men and three-card monte hucksters have for their gullible marks. And, what’s more, they’ve every right to do so. After all, they took a left-wing radical out of Chicago, the corruption capital of America, mixed in a dash of “hope and change” malarkey, and convinced 64 million suckers to vote for him.

I’m well aware that a great many Americans are currently suffering from buyer’s remorse, but that doesn’t excuse them. I mean, it’s not as if all the evidence weren’t readily available prior to the 2008 election. Unless a person had spent the previous year vacationing on the moon, he should have been well aware that all of Obama’s friends, associates and spiritual advisers were crooks, racists or communists.

Why weren’t they paying attention when Obama admitted that his cap-and-trade policy would send our energy bills soaring through the roof, when he declared war on the coal industry and when he told Joe the Plumber that he advocated the redistribution of wealth?

Why did they think electing a guy who had been a community organizer – an obvious euphemism for being a left-wing activist – was a good thing?

And, finally, in a nation that has yet to elect a woman, a Jew, a Latino, a Mormon, an Asian or even, so far as I know, an atheist or an agnostic, why did so many people think they had earned a pass to heaven for no other reason than that they’d voted for a guy who was partially black?

The folks who chose to overlook all the obvious evidence and stick the rest of us with Obama remind me of those ditzy women who ignore all the telltale signs, and turn a deaf ear to the warnings of concerned friends and relatives, and wind up marrying wife beaters.

There was a time when people like Mark Twain, Will Rogers and Bob Hope made good-natured jibes about politicians, and when everybody else regarded office holders as if they were the equivalent of old Uncle Ned, who’d get plastered at family get-togethers and fall asleep with his head in the mashed potatoes. But those days are long past. How can they not be when Congress is bankrupting America and skunks like John Kerry and John Conyers have the gall to confess they didn’t even read the 2,000-page health-care bill even though they actively support its passage?

The only real difference between Kerry and Conyers and the rest of their congressional cronies is their candor. All that these tax-supported incompetents care about are the trappings of office – the huge staffs, the photo ops and the easy access to bribes and sex. These self-important oafs not only refuse to read the small print, they refuse to even read the writing on the wall.

Instead, they elect to defame those Americans who ask only that they abide by the Constitution they’ve sworn to defend, dismissing us as mobs, thugs and astroturfers.

Their notion of doing their patriotic duty is to leave everything up to the likes of Pelosi, Reid, ACORN and the SEIU’s Andy Stern – individuals and entities no normal, decent person would trust to pick out their neckties, let alone their political agenda.

A recent poll determined that 46 percent of Americans approve of Obama’s performance, while 54 percent disapprove. But if you dig a little deeper, you discover that 61 percent of white Americans disapprove, and it’s only because a whopping 97 percent of blacks give him a big thumbs-up that the numbers are as close as they are. So much for the post-racial America candidate Obama promised us.

Some folks wonder why so many members of Congress are willing to bury future generations in debt, to destroy America’s ability to compete with China and India by pushing for cap and trade and buying into the “scientific” hoax known as global warming, and importing Castrocare to the United States.

The answer, I believe, is that left-wing politicians aren’t overly concerned with America’s welfare. It’s power and influence that drives them, which is why an embarrassment like Robert Byrd, even as he approaches the century mark, refuses to retire.

In Jack London’s novel, “The Sea Wolf,” the brutal, but erudite, Wolf Larsen, captain of the seal-hunting schooner, the Ghost, is asked why he is content to command a crew that hates and fears him. In response, he quotes from “Paradise Lost,” in which John Milton has Satan, the fallen angel, explain his own puzzling motivation by stating: “Better to reign in Hell than serve in Heaven.”

It seems to me that today the ship of state is under the command of Wolf Larsen.

The LORD is nigh unto them that are of a broken heart; and saveth such as be of a contrite spirit. ~ Psalms 34:18 (KJV)

The Lord is close to those who are of a broken heart and saves such as are crushed with sorrow for sin and are humbly and thoroughly penitent. ~ Psalms 34:18 (Amplified)

This is the last post of the year. There have not been any posts since August and I knew I needed to find closure for the year and for myself. It has been a hard, agonizing and tearful few months, the lesson have been hard, needed and completely emptying of the carnal man deep within me. Cleansing and renewing should be joyous, but when the gardener prunes the vineyard it’s rarely a very fun experience.

The more the weeds, well you get the idea.

Let’s be clear, the broken heart and contrite spirit are AFTER the work is done (or when the sin is recognize for what it is and/or when comitted). It is the response to the renewal, and purning, not just a cry for the need of it. That happens too, but it is the losing of one’s self, things not of God, the carnal diminishing of the natural man, that cries out in pain and distress.

And God always hears.

I have been through the fire these past months and the last few days (or week perhaps) have been the hardest of a very difficult time. I lost everything I call important in my life. Details? Not necessary as we all have things we have lost along the way, wounds that may even as yet need healing. So why shine the light on the removal of darkness. Let us look to the light instead and the WAY of God’s unfolding will for our lives. There is where there is life and I NEED His light in my life, or I shall die. I’m not here to die, I’m here to serve. And serve Him I will, even if it cost me my life — and in a way it has.

God is not interested if you drive a Mercedes or a Yugo. He is not interested if you have a million in the bank, or just enough for today, because it’s TODAY He gives us. Tomorrow will be today when we get there, yesterday was today when we were there. So God’s provision is eternal.

So why the heartbreak, why the tears?

Because the carnal man wants to hold on, it wants what it wants, it wants to live. Faith in God puts to death the carnal man. Why? Because it (the carnal man) is of and serves Satan, not God. Who do YOU want to follow?

So here I am, broken and battered. Unsure, full of loneliness and pain. But you know what? I have everything because God is right here with me, mending my broken heart, my contrite spirit. I have hope for a new day, a renewal of my relationship TO Him and IN Him! If I’m looking for the worldly assurances, comforts and pacifying trinkets, they are gone. Just me and God.

And the most important of these two is God!

The rules of faith are easy to understand and to assimilate. The living of them is an entirely different matter. You will meet the tears in this life. The only question is: are they of joy in God, or the hopelessness of despair in the world?

You decide.

Be blessed, be loved and be at peace. Let the light of God’s glory fire the brilliance of your soul!

Jonathan

After 21 years of marriage, my wife wanted me to take another woman out to dinner and a movie. She said, “I love you but I know this other woman loves you and would love to spend some time with you”.

The other woman that my wife wanted me to visit was my MOTHER, who has been a widow for 19 years, but the demands of my work and my three children had made it possible to visit her only occasionally.

That night I called to invite her to go out for dinner and a movie. “What’s wrong, are you well,” she asked? My mother is the type of woman who suspects that a late night call or a surprise invitation is a sign of bad news. “I thought that it would be pleasant to spend some time with you,” I responded. “Just the two of us.”

She thought about it for a moment, and then said, “I would like that very much.”

That Friday after work, as I drove over to pick her up and was a bit nervous. When I arrived at her house, I noticed that she, too, seemed to be nervous about our date. She waited in the door with her coat on. She had curled her hair and was wearing the dress that she had worn to celebrate her last wedding anniversary.

She smiled from a face That was as radiant as an angel “I told my friends that I was going to go out with my son, and they were impressed, “she said, as she got into the car. “They can’t wait to hear about our meeting”.

We went to a restaurant that, although not elegant, was very nice and cozy. My mother took my arm as if she were the First Lady. After we sat down, I had to read the menu. Her eyes could only read large print. Half way through the entries, I lifted my eyes and saw Mom sitting there staring at me. A nostalgic smile was on her lips.

“It was I who used to have to read the menu when you were small,” she said.”Then it’s time that you relax and let me return the favor,” I responded.

During the dinner, we had an agreeable conversation - nothing extraordinary, but catching up on recent events of each other’s life. We talked so much that we missed the movie. As we arrived at her house later, she said, “I’ll go out with you again, but only if you let me invite you.” I agreed.

“How was your dinner date?” asked my wife when I got home. “Very nice. Much more so than I could have imagined,” I answered.

A few days later, my mother died of a massive heart attack. It happened so suddenly that I didn’t have a chance to do anything for her.

Some time later, I received an envelope with a copy of a restaurant receipt from the same place mother and I had dined. An attached note said: “I paid this bill in advance. I wasn’t sure that I could be there; but nevertheless, I paid for two plates - one for you and the other for your wife. You will never know what that night meant for me. I love you, son.”

At that moment, I understood the importance of saying in time: “I LOVE YOU!” and to give our loved ones the time that they deserve.

Nothing in life is more important than God and your family. Give them the time they deserve, because these things cannot be put off till “some other time.”

But this one made me smile. So here it is, enjoy!

Forrest Gump goes to heaven

The day finally arrived; Forrest Gump dies and goes to Heaven. He is at the Pearly Gates, met by St. Peter himself. However, the gates are closed and Forrest approaches the Gatekeeper. St. Peter says, “Well, Forrest, it’s certainly good to see you. We have heard a lot about you. I must tell you, though, that the place is filling up fast, and we’ve been administering an entrance examination for everyone. The test is short, but you have to pass it before you can get into Heaven.”

Forrest responds, “It shor is good to be here, St. Peter, sir. But nobody ever tolt me about any entrance exam. Shor hope the test ain’t too hard; life was a big enough test as it was.”

St. Peter goes on, “Yes, I know, Forrest, but the test is only three questions.

First: What two days of the week begin with the letter T?

Second: How many seconds are there in a year?

Third: What is God’s first name?”

Forrest leaves to think the questions over. He returns the next day and sees St. Peter who waves him up and says, “Now that you have had a chance to think the questions over, tell me your answers.”

Forrest says, “Well, the first one — which two days in the week begin with the letter “T”? Shucks, that one’s easy. That’d be Today and Tomorrow.

The Saint’s eyes open wide and he exclaims, “Forrest, that’s not what I was thinking, but you do have a point, and I guess I didn’t specify, so I’ll give you credit for that answer. How about the next one?” asks St. Peter.
“How many seconds in a year?”

“Now that one’s harder,” says Forrest, “but I thunk and thunk about that a nod I guess the only answer can be twelve.”

Astounded, St . Peter says, “Twelve? Twelve!? Forrest, how in Heaven’s name could you come up with twelve seconds in a year?”

Forrest says “Shucks, there’s gotta be twelve: January 2nd, February 2nd, March 2nd. . ”

“Hold it, ” interrupts St. Peter. “I see where you’re going with this, and I see your point, though that wasn’t quite what I had in mind. But I’ll have to give you credit for that one, too. Let’s go on with the third and final question. Can you tell me God’s first name”?

“Sure” Forrest replied, “its Andy.”

“Andy?!” exclaimed an exasperated and frustrated St. Peter. “Ok, I can understand how you came up with your answers to my first two questions, but just how in the world did you come up with the name Andy as the first name of God?”

“Shucks, that was the easiest one of all,” Forrest replied. “I learnt it from the song. “ANDY WALKS WITH ME, ANDY TALKS WITH ME, ANDY TELLS ME I AM HIS OWN. . . .”

St. Peter opened the Pearly Gates and said: “Run Forrest, run.”

Expert: Watch loyalty, not certificate of birth
Cites Obama’s references to Islam, denial of America’s Christianity

Herb Titus, a one-time vice presidential candidate considered an expert on the U.S. Constitution, says it probably was up to the electors from the 50 states or members of Congress to make certain President Obama is a “natural born” U.S. citizen.

There is available when Congress votes on the acceptance of the Electoral College results an opportunity for those with questions to object, but that process was not used in the 2008 election.

Since then, a multitude of lawsuits have challenged Obama’s eligibility to hold the highest office because of concerns over his place of birth and parentage. The U.S. Constitution requires a president to be a “natural born” citizen.

But Titus said probably the most important factor in the argument should be the president’s loyalties.

“The reason for the concept of natural born citizens is so a country can’t just throw you out willy-nilly,” Titus told WND. “Your citizenship is in God’s sovereign decision-making. You were born of certain parents.

“If you follow that kind of reasoning, Obama cannot be a natural-born citizen, even if he’s born in Hawaii,” because of his parents, he said. “One was Kenyan and one American.”

More important, he told WND, is where Obama’s loyalties lie.

“Did he write a book about his mother?” Titus asked.
